![]() ![]() ![]() Something which went really well, although it truly was an adventure doing this with a type of pencil I only tried twice before working on this. A friend from university sold me his small set of Faber-Castell watercolor pencils for a nice price (so he could invest in a bigger set), prompting me to give the medium a try in my next artwork. Then there's also the medium this drawing is made with: watercolor pencils. Working on this project seemed to relieve the wait a bit, or at least when I had the time to work on it (damn university tasks.). Let's say that it was a very frustrating wait, contributing to me often thinking about it and the story in general. I preordered the final volume at my local comic store, but it got delayed by about two months before I finally received it. However, the manga on which the anime is based happens to be my favorite manga. Not that I watched the anime yet, I just came across the opening on YouTube one day. During one of those wandering episodes, I thought about the opening of the anime Boku dake ga Inai Machi (Erased), causing a sudden burst of inspiration that turned into this. Quite a lot of work, as you might expect, but also a great opportunity to let your thoughts wander when you're working in "auto-pilot"-mode. There was one measurement I needed to do 42 times every Tuesday. The story of this drawing started during my internship in a local laboratory. Even helping someone for free doesn't do a damn thing to improve your own situation. Am I gonna die? Or have I already died? There, it just goes to show, nothing good comes from sticking your neck out. The 'life flashing before your eyes' thing. ![]()
